I knew I had a rough timeline to follow if I wanted enough time to enjoy Charleston and the rest of the Low Country.  I knew the heat, humidity and bugs would not be the ideal situation.  So I sacrificed seeing all the little gems in the south in order to have as much time in the true gem of the south.  My plans got altered significantly earlier in the year.  Charleston was the perfect place to get my bearings straight and to readjust.  And readjust I did…

Charleston is as close to home as it gets for me and seeing old sights and reconnecting with old friends was exactly what I needed.  I realized that if my previous plans had worked out then I would not have had the experiences that I did.  Go with the wind and be happy where you are at and who you are with will make your life a whole lot happier

North Carolina

I roamed around a few small towns and found a few great roadside farmer's markets. I made a version of lowcountry boil which I call Nomad Boil. The Outer Banks were incredible, nuff said...

West Virginia

WV was an incredible surprise. I loved getting away from it all and breaking free from cell-service to enjoy the pristine beauty of Pocahontas County. I also got to stop at a few of the local breweries spread throughout the state. West Virginia is definitely worth a long stay if you are in the area. So much to explore.
